PANDAS is a diagnosis given to children with a history of a strep infection that can be linked to the sudden onset of psychiatric symptoms including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, separation anxiety, restrictive eating, academic disruption, and uncontrollable behaviors and/or tics.
DESIGN
Mental health treatment can address anxiety and fears that are impacting on a child's functioning including the ability to appropriately separate from parents, attend school regularly, and engage in previously enjoyable activities.
